Flowers and Ribbons

Sorry its been SO long since my last post. Things have been very busy...
I moved house and had to pack up all my craft things, and I'm only now beginning to un-pack them again.
This is a quick and simple card Ive made for my Aunt's birthday. Ive used some bits and bobs from my basic stash and some stampin up products. I liked the idea of using ribbons on the flowers..... What do you think???
Hope you like it Lyn :0) x

Little Sisters Bug You, Even on their Birthdays

A rather strange post today...
It is my younger sister Kimberleys birthday today
Happy Birthday Kim
For her birthday we got her four leaf insects and an insect house.
I like to try and make my handmade cards to fit the person who is recieving it, so here is what I came up with for Kim
I used stampin up card stock and the big deal alphabet stamp set
I decided to decoupage the leaf insect to make it look more life like.

Kims Leaf insects are located somewhere in their house.

Hope you like the card

Big Deal Alphabet

I decided to purchase the Big Deal Alphabet stamp set last month
at the Stampers 10 group I attend
Anyway I thought I would share with you some of the cards I've made using the set.
It is so versatile and really adds that personal touch.

This Transformer card I made for my daughters friend Talan who was six a few weeks ago.

This card travelled all the way to New Zealand and as you can see is for Andy :0)

and this card is for my boyfriends Dad. He is a West Ham football supporter, hence the west ham colours.(All inks used are stampin up)

Here is 5 year old Talias entry for the CCS Funky Friday challenge
Talia has used stamp set scene in a garden and trendy trees
Admittedly I helped with the heat gun and lining things up, but I think she did a pretty good job. She is really looking forward to going to the Haiti relief charity class on Feb 20th

I can't wait to see what she gets to make then

Sunday 31 January 2010

So here is my this weeks entry for the CCS Funky Friday Challenge
I decided to make a gift cover for a bottle

I used card stock Stampin up chocolate chip cut to dimensions aprox 28cm x 9cm
A circle of summer sun card stock
Chocolate chip and versamark ink pads
simply said stamp set and the boho friend roller
clear embossing powder, a piece of chocolate chip ribbon and a gold brad

I rounded the corners and punched a circle out of the top part of the piece of chocolate chip card big enough for the bottle neck to fit into. I then scored a line aprox 8cm from the top of the card and made a fold.
I stamped and embossed the detail on the card then added a circle of summer sun where I used the emboss resist technique to create the look. I then added a cut out flower, gold brad and some ribbon for that finishing touch.

Hope you like it

Clearly out of ink

Funky Friday Challenge #41

Well this challenge was not as easy as I thought it would be. I had the colour card stock but as yet have none of the ink pads to match... Must remedy that!

So here is what ive come up with.

I used Stampin up card stock colours: More mustard, pretty in pink, garden green, rose red and white. The stampin is also stampin up and from the One of a kind stamp set. I also used a couple white buttons I had lying around and the stampin up punch to match the one of a kind stamps.

Hope you like the results :) Lyn xx

Hearts and Dragonflies

So here it is.... My first attempt at the Cornwall Crafty Stamper Funky Friday challenge

I used Stampin up card stock chocolate chip and close to cocoa and also a sheet of gold I had lying around my craft room. The ribbon is Stampin up 1/4" grosgrain ribbon in very vanilla and the stamp sets used were garden silhouettes and simply said.

I used versamark ink and a sakura gel pen to get the clear embossed look. The dragonflies are gold peel offs backed together to give dimension.
Hope you like it and thanks for stopping by
